As we watched the kids open presents, as I cooked the dinner (off the cuff this year steak off the grill from my outdoor kitchen) and watched our friend and a colleague of Andy's enjoy his time away from the barracks and played video games tossed a football around and eat, I couldnt help but think of my babyboy who was noticably absent again this year, Christmas and New Year was Christian's Fave holidays not just because of the presents but he knew Mom would be cooking up a storm and he and his friends would be rotating in and out between eating and boarding even riding the 4wheelers in the back yard, While yes I am away from that state and that house and that school district, and life is a little more easy I still miss that flashy smile and the fleeting I love you Mom, or Hey Mom what ya making this year?
Bullying is never EVER ok, and should you see it, or even should you hear a person thinking about ending their life Dont be the loyal friend and NOT say a word be the Loyal friend who while your friend might be angry for a bit, you saved a family from the devistating effect of suicide ,maybe if the young lady's friends in Dallas Tx had taken her seriously that day her parents wouldnt be in the same boat with alot of us who have lost as we did, and the student who walked into the bathroom that horrible day and found her with a self inflicted gunshot (yes in the school bathroom) Be someone who stops it, and in time others will learn.....
